We are two weeks away from our Mardi Gras party – please RSVP so we know how much food we should bring! You can RSVP then pay at the door – contact Digital.Knight@kofc588.org to let us know you are coming!
Thanks for all those who showed up for our Free Throw contest – I will have the results posted here tomorrow.
We have posted our events for the coming months and hope that you will be able to join us at some of them. We are especially happy to have a Mardi Gras night for the first time this year and look forward to trying out some Cajun cooking! Look for more commentary on these events as well as some posters. Please pass the word to everyone and let them know to contact us for tickets for the events.
Thanks to Dunkin Donuts of Ogdensburg and Eddie and the Briquettes of Ogdensburg for the food and drinks we had at our Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday night. We had roughly 100 people show up and enjoy the chili, cider, hot chocolate and munchkins. We then sang a few carols, Father David blessed our tree, and then we threw the switch and lit up the night! Thanks to the Fire Department for getting the lights up for us. Also, thanks to all who came out to make it a wonderful event and I look forward to seeing everyone at our future events.
This is from the Friday after Thanksgiving when the Sparta Fire Department helped us get the lights on our Christmas Tree. Join us this Saturday (12/2) after the 5:30pm mass so we can light the tree, sing some carols, eat some Chili, and drink some hot cider and hot chocolate! Our Lady of the Lake Parish in Sparta, NJ.
We had our annual Thanksgiving dinner for our Knights and their families. A fun time was had for all, from the Turkey and all the trimmings, to some homemade deserts (including some fancy lace candy) and also handing out money that we raised to our deserving charities.
Enjoying dinner and desert.
